STAR STRUCK: Tonight marks the first of three meetings with the Dallas Stars this season. In fact, all three games between these two clubs will come during the month of November. The Kings host the Stars at STAPLES Center on the 13th, they’ll be back in Dallas on the 22nd. Dallas is winless in their last four games just like the Kings; the Stars with a 0-2-2 mark in their previous four, the Kings 0-3-1. This is the final game of the Kings’ five-game road trip.

HOME IS WHERE IT HURTS: Aside from being winless in their previous four games, the Stars have struggled mightily at American Airlines Center this season, posting a 1-0-4 record, losing three games in overtime and one in a shootout. Dallas’ only win at home came on October 21 against the Vancouver Canucks. Can the Kings keep it that way tonight against the Stars? The Kings are 6-3-1 against Dallas in their last 10 visits to American Airlines Center.

POSITIVE TWIST: The Kings put the finishing touches on a rather forgettable road trip tonight with a chance to end it on a good note. Jonathan Quick will be in net, making his 11th start of the season. Quick is third in the league in save percentage (.939) and goals-against-average (2.03). Jordan Nolan will be out, serving the second game of his two-game suspension, and Andy Andreoff will be a healthy scratch for the second consecutive game.

THE LAST TIME AROUND: In three meetings with the Stars last season, the Kings posted a 1-2-0 record. The clubs swapped 5-2 victories in the first two contests, both played at STAPLES Center, then the Kings dropped the series finale in Dallas 3-2 at the American Airlines Center on December 31 of last season. The Kings’ loss in Dallas last season was their first regulation loss at American Airlines Center dating back to November 24, 2006.

WE’RE DOING IT LIVE: Catch KINGS LIVE at 5:00PM PT on FOX SPORTS WEST, followed with Bob and Jim for the live play-by-play call on scene at American Airlines Center for puck drop at 5:30PM PT.
