Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies arrested a Santa Clarita woman after a fight with her in-law led to an alleged false police report Thursday, officials said. Tania Pena, 56, of Saugus, called sheriff’s deputies to her mother-in-law’s house on the 23300 block of Lady Linda Lane, after an argument, according to Sheriff’s Station offiicials. “We responded to a 911 call, and the woman calling said her mother-in-law was pointing a shotgun at her,” said Lt. Officials with the District Attorney’s Office dropped a child molestation-annoyance charge against a Legacy Christian Academy teacher Wednesday. Carl Astrera, 35, of Panorama City, was in court for a preliminary arraignment, where he was expected to file his plea to the charge, when Laura Knight Jackson, deputy district attorney for Los Angeles County moved to dismiss the charge. Astrera was arrested around noon Feb. 28 at the private Christian school on the 27600 Block of Dickason Drive in Valencia.
