McKeon Honors Santa Clarita Students Headed To Military Academies

Congressman Howard P. "Buck" McKeon, R-Santa Clarita, hosted a luncheon recently at College of the Canyons for 10 high school students from the 25th Congressional District appointed to U.S. military service academies and preparatory schools. Each year, members of Congress submit nominations of students from their districts for admissions to one of the four service academies - the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo., the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., and the Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, N.Y. There were 10 students from the 25th Congressional District who have been offered appointments to the four U.S. Service Academies.
