Improved Budgets Help Santa Clarita Valley Schools Keep More Teachers

For the most part, Santa Clarita Valley school districts are sending out fewer notices than in previous years, due in part to better budget projections; although at least one district notes officials aren’t quite out of the woods. SUSD board members voted 4-1 on June 18 to vacate Winkler’s seat, after district officials claimed a private investigator they hired gave proof Winkler violated the law by maintaining a residence outside SUSD boundaries.
