Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect who broke into the Oak Tree Gun Club and stole more than $1,800 worth of ammunition. An unknown man kicked in a door around 6:50 p.m. April 26 at the Oak Tree Gun Club on the 23100 block of Coltrane Avenue in Newhall, in the unincorporated part of Los Angeles County. Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station detectives immediately began following leads and have now released surveillance video and still photos taken from the location in hopes of identifying the suspect involved in this incident.

A Santa Clarita man is due back in court after an alleged case of early morning munchies at a Canyon Country Jack in the Box landed him in jail, according to Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station officials. Joseph Taylor, 24, of Santa Clarita, pleaded not guilty earlier this month after he was arrested at 3:30 a.m. April 14 outside of the Jack in the Box at the 18500 block of Via Princessa, near Jason Drive, in Canyon Country. “(Taylor) was charged with misdemeanor second degree burglary, the victim being Jack in the Box; petty theft, with the victim being Jack in the Box; and vandalism causing over $400 in damage,” said Ricardo Santiago, spokesman for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
