Voice Acting Competition – Rules of the Competition

Schools
The Santa Clarita Voice Acting Competition is set to commence in October of 2010 between the following schools:
La Mesa Junior High, Patrick Henry Middle School, and Albert Einstein Academy.

Classes
A total of 4 classes will be conducted by Voicebank.net on an extra curricular basis.  

All students who sign up are eligible to attend all four classes.

However, only those chosen by the administrative staff and teachers, based on but not limited to attendance, professionalism, talent, skills and delivery will be admitted to enter the competition.

Teams
Each entry or team consists of two students.

Recording
After teams are chosen, they will record their “Prelim” and Final” projects in a professional recording studio provided by Voice Over There, Inc.

Web posting and voting
The Prelim audio clips will be posted on KHTS AM-1220 website for voting purposes for a specified period.

A panel of experts will vote on the teams as well as the public. Please see schedule for the exact dates.

The final grades will be determined as follows:
60% by the panel.
40% by the public.

Prelim winners
The winning team will be interviewed live on KHTS radio station and their piece will get aired.

Finals
The winning team from each school will move on to the final stages. The Final audio clips will be voted on and Champion team will be chosen in the same fashion.

The Champion team will get interviewed and their piece will get aired.
