John Cale is a Capital Policeman who has just been denied his dream job of being a Secret Service Agent to protect United States President, James Sawyer. To avoid telling his young daughter the bad news, Cale buys tickets to take her on a tour of the White House. Unfortunately, they are on the tour at the wrong time when a group of heavily armed paramilitary invaders take over the White House with the main intention of holding the President hostage.
After the first seconds of the assault, Cale is separated from his daughter and the rest of his tour group. With the country in disarray, his daughter out of sight and the president in danger, Cale must step up and save his daughter, the president and the country.
White House Down has an all-star cast consisting of Channing Tatum, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jason Clarke, Richard Jenkins, James Wood, Joey King and Jamie Foxx as President James Sawyer. Directed by 2012 director, Roland Emmerich, and written by James Vanderbilt, this movie by Colombia Pictures is sure to be a hot summer blockbuster.
A majority of fans on Fandango and 96 percent of people on Rotten Tomatoes all voted that they look forward to seeing this movie once it hits theaters. White House Down is said to be similar to the Die Hard movies and Air Force One which is exciting for viewers who are fans of these action movies.
