On Monday, the Cincinnati Bengals re-signed their wide receiver to a one-year contract on the heels of playing in Super Bowl LVI.

He joined Cincinnati mid-way through the 2019 season, and has since played in nine games, with three catches for 39 yards and three punt returns for 31 yards, according to a statement from the Cincinnati Bengals.

During his time at Hart High School, Irwin won player of the year in the greater Los Angeles area and ranked in the top 100 prospects in California, according to MaxPreps.com.

Irwin averaged 18.5 yards per catch across his total 285 catches, while logging a total of 5,285 yards in receiving with an average of 103.3 receiving yards per game, making him a standout prospect when he committed to Stanford as a wide receiver in 2015.

The three-time Pac-12 academic honorable mention with 152 interceptions and five touchdowns across 53 games finished off his college career making at least one catch in 40 consecutive games, according to Stanford athletics officials.

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
