Suspect Held To Answer In Saugus Date Rape Allegation

Peter Sayamoungkhoune, 32, had just finished a supervised visit at the DCFS office on Avenue Stanford in Valencia last week, when he allegedly confronted the monitor who was there to supervise the visit. Sayamoungkhoune reportedly threatened the DCFS staff, according to the victim, who then reported the incident to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. The monitor apparently had just finished a supervised visit with Sayamoungkhoune and his two daughters. The incident did not take place in front of the children, according to officials. Deputies investigated the report and then arrested Sayamoungkhoune for criminal threats. He’s currently being held in the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.

College of the Canyons officials alerted students of a sexual assault in a campuswide email blast Wednesday, two days after a student was allegedly attacked in a parking lot.
