Castaic Union School District Names New Assistant Superintendent Of Business & Administrative Services

The Castaic Union School District (CUSD) announced Thursday that it has named a new Assistant Superintendent of Business and Administrative Services.

Irene Boden has been named the new assistant superintendent of business and administrative services for Castaic Union and is expected to begin her duties on Friday, July 1, 2022, according to CUSD officials.

Boden is set to assume many of the responsibilities of former Chief Business Official, Linette Hodson, who is expected to be leaving the CUSD to join School Services of California, Inc.

Boden has worked in education for over 15 years and has served in the school business environment starting as an account technician with the William S. Hart High Union School district to most recently, the assistant director of School Business Advisory Services at the Ventura County Office of Education, according to officials.

During Boden’s career, she has continuously pursued higher education, according to CUSD officials.

She received her Associate’s Degree from College of the Canyons, a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies at California State University Northridge and received a Master’s of Business Administration with a concentration in Management and Leadership from the University of La Verne, officials said.

In addition, Boden completed her certification for chief business officer through the California Association of School Business Officials.

She is passionate about providing a high-quality education for all students and believes that business and operations are a fundamental part of this goal, according to officials.

Through working collaboratively as a whole, the entire school district works towards the success of each student.

Boden looks forward to the opportunity to be a part of this common goal in a great school district.

A long-time Santa Clarita resident, Boden is married and has two boys, ages 10 and 12.

She and her family are civic-minded and enjoy volunteering in the community for a variety of organizations, according to officials.

Boden is excited to continue giving her time and effort to the community as well as the Castaic Union School district.
