WiSH Education Foundation To Host Webinar Series For Students Considering College

Intending to be utilized as a resource for prospective college students, the program, hosted by the WiSH Education Foundation, is expected to offer guidance through the college application process from numerous professionals and representatives in Santa Clarita.

Kicking off on Sept. 22 with Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) Wednesday, the program is expected to commence with a brief explanation of how it is expected to guide their students through the college application process.

“WUE can make a student’s dream of going to an out of state school possible by offering in-state tuition and more,” according to a statement from the WiSH Education Foundation. “This webinar will feature approximately 15 college representatives that will present WUE options at their universities.”

All webinars are to be hosted by Donna Siegel, WiSH board member and certified college counselor, with additional guest speakers scheduled to attend throughout the year.

“Private college counseling can be several hundred dollars per hour,” said Executive Director Amy Daniels. “These are interactive webinars with certified professionals and college representatives across the country. This is something every college bound family can benefit from.”

Beyond WUE, WiSH is offering $35 webinars including Essays of the Common Application, the UC Application and Essay Brainstorming, Scholarships and Financial Aid, Athletic Recruiting, Visual and Performing Arts, Elite College Admissions and the General College Overview Process.

If the scheduling does not align with the students availability, the recording can be purchased as well.

The WiSH Education Foundation is a 501(c)3 foundation benefitting over 20,000 students of the William S. Hart Union High School District. Other successful fundraising events benefitting WiSH include Cocktails on the Roof, Wine on the Roof and The SCV Music Festival.
