Crafters: Only 24 Vendor Spaces Remain For Santa Clarita’s Largest Craft Show

Get in front of over 20,000 Santa Clarita residents at the most attended event in Santa Clarita in April.

It’s part of the annual KHTS Home & Garden Show now in its 12th year on April 29, 2023 and April 30, 2023 at Central Park in Santa Clarita.

The event this year is predicted to feature over 500 vendors. Admission and parking are free.

“We have a wide variety of local crafters,” KHTS owner Carl Goldman said. “Spaces are filling up fast, we only have 24 remaining. Some local artists like Henry Mowry – who specializes in wood crafts – has attended our show for many years.”

The continued success is what keeps Mowry coming back.

“I love this event,” Mowry said. “I attend shows throughout the west during the year and this is my favorite. Not only is it a lot of fun, with a great atmosphere, I get to visit with my friends and neighbors while selling my craft. My regular customers buy my latest product along with the many new customers who discover me. Besides set up is easy since it’s so close to my home. I get to sleep in my own bed at night and that’s a treat when you do as many shows as I do.”

Mowry’s crafts can be found on-line at Mr. M’s Workshop.

Almost all the KHTS Home & Garden show’s vendors are from Santa Clarita. Most of the attendees are local as well.

The show not only features crafts. Hundreds of vendors display everything for your house and yard. Designers, solar, artificial turf, sheds, garage doors, heating and air conditioning, windows, doors, patios and much more.

It’s the perfect opportunity to learn from the experts.

A limited number of vendors are allowed from each category, making the event very selective with highly reputable, local exhibitors.

On Saturday, the Emergency Expo takes place inside the show.

Climb aboard a fire truck, speak with our Santa Clarita first responders, watch as the “Jaws of Life” demonstration takes place as firefighters use lifesaving methods to rip apart a vehicle.

There’s a kid’s zone featuring a petting zoo, pony rides and pig races.

A large tent filled with butterflies was the highlight of last year’s show. The butterflies are expected to return for our 2023 show.

One dozen food trucks are also present throughout the weekend to satisfy every craving.

On Sunday the Santa Clarita Corvette club is scheduled to be attending to show off their classic cars.

“We’re looking for unique crafters, items you won’t find at a swap meet,” Goldman added. “Our show does really well for artists with unique, affordable products.”

About Carl Goldman

Carl Goldman, along with his wife, Jeri repurchased KHTS AM-1220, Santa Clarita’s hometown station on October 24, 2003. They owned it from 1990-1998, and then sold it to Clear Channel Communication in 1998, buying it back from Clear Channel in 2003. Since then, they have rebuilt KHTS as a critical voice of the Valley. In 2015 the radio station moved to its new headquarters on Main Street in Old Town Newhall, in the original Newhall Hardware building. In 2018 an FM was added, 98.1, with its signal being simulcast with AM-1220. In January 2020, Carl and Jeri cruised on the Diamond Princess. Carl was one of the first Americans to come down with Covid-19. Months earlier he was impacted by Guillain Barre Syndrome as a result of a Shingles vaccine in September 2019. He is still in recovery from the vaccine.
