Austin Dave opens up the show by highlighting how the lack of consequences many people have when growing up enables addictive behavioral patterns. He also goes further in-depth with how the current incarceration system fails to provide mental health and/or rehabilitation efforts to those struggling with substance abuse, further adding to the vicious cycle.
Robbie adds on to the discussion, mentioning how his martial arts mentoring to his young students provides accountability and discipline to those that need it. He says, “A lot of people have forgotten what a purpose is”.
Later in the show, Cary brings physical drugs into the studio to educate live viewers on what these substances look like and how easy it is to disguise them as real pills. Cary also receives a call from an Action Drug Rehab member who tells her story about substance use and the life lessons its taught her.
