The Senior Hour – A Taste of Focus – April 26, 2023

In the first half of today’s Senior Hour, hosts  Barbara Cochran and Doctor Polucki open up the show with Nikki Buckstead, CEO of Santa Clarita’s Child and Family Center. Nikki discusses the 34th annual Taste of the Town which includes live music, food from every vendor in SCV, as well as a silent auction. Later, she goes into further detail about her business – Child and Family Center – and what services they offer residents in terms of mental health.

In the second half of the show, Adam Laraway of Focus Physical Therapy comes on to recap his experience at last weekend’s Home and Garden Show and the successes that Focus has garnered at their booth. Barbara and Dr. Polucki discuss the different ways that physical therapy assists clients of a varied age range, including seniors. They also go into detail about mobility aids and how walkers can prove to be more beneficial than traditional canes. Finally, Adam wraps up the show, talking about Focus Physical Therapy and how their extraordinary services differ from the typical PT office that uses aids instead of licensed physical therapists.
