Since 2008, SCVi has been the founding school of a different type of public school. SCVi serves kids from TK-12th grade within Santa Clarita and even surrounding cities.
SCVi offers home study, independent study and project-based learning.
What is project-based learning?
Project-based learning helps students (learners) how to gain collaborative, academic, and problem-solving skills that today’s world entails.
This is where kids can learn about real-world problems and practice being an active member of society- which they will be one day.

One project that SCVi offers is the Glider project for the 8th graders.
This project acts as exposure to a possible career path for kids who want to fly! Learners will work together as a team and learn about aviation in various ways, like in English and science and take what they learn up to the sky.
A glider plane does not have an engine and is led into the air by a tow plane and then it’s up to the kids to keep it in the air. Experienced pilots are always behind the learners in this project.
This project is all about what SCVi strives for- the kids to learn about what they’re passionate about and what they can offer to the real world, once they’ve moved on from SCVi.
There’s always something going on at SCVi and other iLEAD schools. If you’re interested in SCVi for your child, please visit ileadsantaclarita.org today.
