Welcome to the KHTS AM-1220 Santa Clarita to Washington DC Trip! Thank you for joining us. KHTS, along with a select group of Santa Clarita representatives, traveled to the nation’s Capital in an effort to have an impact on today’s decision makers. Many thanks goes to Congressman Steve Knight snd his staff for assisting with scheduling, guidance, and support. Thanks to the Southern California Gas Company for sponsoring our trip.

The Annual KHTS AM-1220 Washington DC Trip is happening this year from September 19^th, 2016 through September 22^nd, 2016.

KHTS has been leading road trips to Sacramento for 11 years to advocate for critical issues facing the Santa Clarita Valley. Our trips have made a significant impact over the years and it is our hope to build that same advocacy tradition on our annual Washington DC trip.

We invite a diverse group of individuals representing the Santa Clarita Valley. We will document our trip on the KHTS website in this special Washington DC Trip portal section, much like that of our Sacramento Trip.

Our intent is to show our government officials that we as a community are unified in our concerns and are willing to commit our time and energy to share them.

KHTS AM-1220 radio also broadcasts during the trip, so we invite you to listen to the interviews as well as the feedback shared by our participants.

As we share our experiences over the KHTS AM-1220 airwaves, on our KHTS AM-1220 website, and in our local newspapers and magazines, we hope that you will share your insights with your friends and family.
