When it comes to our bodies there are definite right and wrong ways in which we can look after them. As cliche as it sounds, we only have one body and we can’t replace it so taking care of it should be at the peak of our interest, but many of us cast that aside and concentrate on other things. Whilst many things are important to us as individuals we often forget the things that enable us to have these interests in the first place, for example, our mind and body. This is why it’s so important to take care of your body the right way.
Healthy Diet
Let’s start with something that every one of us needs and cannot ignore. Our diet is imperative to us leading a healthy lifestyle and requires us to have upwards of 5 portions of fruit and vegetables per day. We need a plethora of vitamins and minerals to ensure the complete and healthy function of our bodies so a varied diet is essential.
It is said that an adult male needs up to 2500 calories per day and an adult female needs up to 2000 calories per day as a recommended daily intake. This should include a balanced diet of 50% fruits and vegetables, 25% protein-rich foods, and 25% fiber-rich carbohydrates.
Be inventive when cooking for yourself and try to cook with your eyes. The more color on the plate will mean your food will be full of antioxidants and vitamins. Try to avoid processed food and if you’re going to eat it, then do so as a treat and not often. Processed food contains a lot of saturated fats which can lead to heart disease and other conditions.
Hydration
We can last without food for longer than we can without water, in fact, humans can only last 3-4 days without water and up to 3 weeks without food. We are made up of at least 60% water so it’s essential we keep ourselves topped up. Not only this, but dehydration will make us perform at a subpar level and will make our daily lives a struggle. You should try and drink at least 2 liters of water per day.
Physical Body
We have 206 bones in our body and over 650 named skeletal muscles, that’s a lot to think about. It is something that’s too much to think about for many people and they will happily ignore any small ache or pain they have and continue to work assuming everything is going to be alright. Whilst this might be the case for some people, others will end up with crippling pain that will render them immovable. Giving our body a service, or getting it checked out by a trained professional once in a while will be invaluable, not only to your future health but your present health too. The professionals at balancecore.sg state that when the body is behaving in a healthy manner, there will be a minimal chance for future injury again. If you can prevent injury, then it’s the best form of treatment.

Mental Health
We can’t talk about the health of our bodies without bringing up our mental health, especially in this day and age. People are becoming much more aware of their mental health and for good reason, it’s something that affects us every minute of the day, and being on top of it and happy is essential. Everything links to our mental health, whether it’s our diet, our exercise, our physical shape, or what’s happening around us. Either way, it’s something we should take seriously. If you’re feeling low you can talk to a professional or visit your doctor for advice on how to take the next steps.
Exercise
If you truly want to feel great and ensure you are looking after your body in the best possible way then incorporate exercise into your daily routine. It doesn’t have to be a lot and will heavily depend on your age and ability, but it’s something that will help you unimaginably in the long run. Exercising not only strengthens your muscles and your body but also releases feel-good hormones and endorphins meaning you feel better after too.
Our body is our temple and we really should start taking more care of it. Many people have let themselves go but it doesn’t mean it’s too late. Take your destiny into your own hands and start taking care of yourself. Your life and everyone’s around will become better by taking care of yourself.
