No one wants to be catfished or looking like a fool for dating someone that they never met in person face-to-face, but who doesn’t enjoy watching MTV’s Catfish? Every episode is so juicy and the series has migrated to virtual due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. The television show focuses on the harsh realities of online dating. 

On episode 52 – season 8 we are introduced to Tracii Roxanne who is a musician and fashion model. Tracii believes she has chatted with sexy Ace Davis online and over the phone for years. She later finds out on the episode with the help of Catfish’s Experts Nev Schulman and Kamie Crawford that Ace Davis isn’t real. The experts managed to get the real Ace online who goes by the stage name Ace Rockwood. While he was online with them Ace admitted doing gay porn in his past life, but now has shifted with his own porn platform “American Pornstar” where he currently produces, directs, and stars in his original straight porn films. He also still participates in gay porn that is shown on his OnlyFans page. Ace has changed his stage name to John Johnson. 

Tracii was devastated when she found out the truth. Tracii confessed to Ace that she has strong feelings for him. Ace Rockwood a.k.a John Johnson admitted to being super attractive to Tracii too and he would love to take her out on a date sometime soon in Miami, Florida. It was clear at this point, she didn’t care about him having a background in gay porn. All Tracii cared about at the moment was love. She had feelings for him and the real Ace had feelings for her, but the issue is the fact she really doesn’t know him on a personal level. So who has been pretending for years to be Ace Rockwood a.k.a John Johnson? 

Finally Nev and Kamie get the catfish Tyrone Evans Clark online who is known as a video game developer, filmmaker, actor, musician, and author of the Grapefruit/Fiends Book Series. Tyrone revealed to Tracii and the Catfish Experts that he would love to be in a relationship with Tracii and possibly be in one with Ace Rockwood too. He finds Tracii and the real Ace super sexy and he doesn’t care about playing with both. Tyrone identifies as pansexual and he doesn’t see sex, but only energy. Tracii blocked Tyrone’s fake facebook account of Ace online instantly and told him to not reach out to her by phone ever again! However, when Tyrone took down his comical persona with constant apologies throughout his time online, the Catfish Experts and Tracii begin to show Tyrone compassion. 

Tyrone also opened up about his homophobic family members and his own personal insecurities. It just sounds as if he didn’t believe he was good enough to get a person like Tracii on his own by just being his real authentic self. As a result of Tyrone bringing down his walls it has warmed the hearts of Nev, Kamie, and Tracii. Currently Tracii and Tyrone only chat on the phone now and then. Tracii never plans to get in a relationship with Tyrone, but does consider slowly developing a friendship. The real Ace a.k.a John Johnson still plans to take Tracii on a hot date while showing her around Miami.
