Tips To Have A Positive Mindset And Improve Your Productivity

Are you looking to boost your productivity? The good news is that you can, and many people have tried before you, meaning there’s plenty of information on how to improve mindset and therefore boost positivity. Many of us try daily to increase productivity with external tools such as apps, hardware, notes, etc. but how many of us look inwards first to help improve our positivity and productivity? Time to delve into some of the great tricks and tips we’ve discovered, and how they can help you.

Positive Mental Attitude

Lots of extremely successful and influential people describe Positive Mental Attitude, or PMA, as a key part of their success. And studies have linked the impact of positive thinking to positive effects on the brain and the body. Some studies have shown those who suggest they are positive to also be far more energized, productive, and creative at work. If your productivity is something that is really bothering you, maybe it is time you focussed on this lovely refinement of the way you think to try and up your work-life productivity. PMA or a positive mindset can’t be that hard to find, can it? Let’s examine how these super successful people achieve this state of mind…

Gratitude

One extremely powerful tool that many people shrug off is practicing gratitude. If you have not heard of the concept before, please allow us to explain. It is rather simple: every day before you have time to think about anything else, write down three things that you are grateful for. Or, even just lay in bed with your eyes closed and list them. The point is to do this before you get into your hectic day. You could also write down three people you are grateful for, three things to look forward to, three things that will make today great. Simply list three positive things! The power of this is in the way it starts you thinking for the day. You are slowly but surely training your mind to think in a more positive way, and look for good things, therefore creating a positive mental attitude from the very first thought of the day.

Meditation

Meditation is also something that many think negatively about, but we say don’t knock it until you’ve tried it! Let’s tell you what the benefits of meditation are for the brain and you can make your own decisions about whether to try it (we think you should!) Meditation is also training your brain, much like gratitude, to focus and center itself. When meditating you are training yourself to focus on the breath and the body, while letting other thoughts pass you by. This helps you to declutter, focus, and relax. 15 minutes of this every day can lead to wonderful results as your brain has become a powerful tool when it comes to focusing and ignoring negative thoughts. Taking this into your work-life will boost productivity ten-fold, as you focus better on what’s most important.

Journaling

We’ve discussed noting down things you are grateful for, but what about other thoughts? Journaling has been proven to both improve mood and productivity. Why? Because journaling helps some of the most powerful and successful people get their ideas onto paper for the very first time. Goals, targets, ideas, figures, and questions all get jotted down. This allows many to process their thoughts and work through them, leading to a clearer mind and a more productive state. Feel free to write things that have gone wrong, as well. Journaling to work through issues is also extremely helpful, as is writing down tasks, routines, and lists of daily targets.

Respect Sleep

Sleep and productivity don’t really sound like they go hand in hand, do they? And, many of the busiest and most productive people in the world probably seem like they never sleep. Well, we’re here to tell you that they do! They may get up at 5 every morning, but they’re also going to bed at 9:30! Proper sleep improves your mood so much and has a direct link to productivity as well. Look at teenagers, they struggle to sleep, and therefore struggle in class. It’s so easy to see. If you get 6.5-8 hours of sleep a night you will get far more done in the remaining 16 or so. And, you’ll feel 10 times better when doing so! Respecting sleep will boost mood, mindset, and productivity.

So, there are some of the things we have noticed the most productive, powerful, and seemingly positive people in the world do. They have routines, plan, and focus their minds. They sleep well and most likely eat healthier too. Focus on adding one of these to your routine at a time, and we’re sure you’ll see the benefits extremely quickly.
