If you’re going to be leaving your pet home alone, then it’s important that you create a space filled with items that give them everything they need. You can get an app that connects with a surveillance camera that you can set up anywhere in your home so that you can keep an eye on them. There are even two-way visual and audio options so that you can reassure them by having them see and hear you if you feel they are distressed, or if you know you’re going to be away for a long time. 

Have Someone Check In

It’s always a good idea to have someone that lives close-by and that you trust to check in every once in a while. You may have everything else under control, but it doesn’t hurt to have a human eye on them just to make sure that all is well and so that they don’t have to feel so alone for the whole time. This is especially useful if you have a dog that needs to be taken out if you’re gone for too long.
