Services for Seniors – April 7, 2020

Our first guest on the show is Kevin MacDonald, CEO of the SCV Senior Center, and he calls in to talk about the resources still being provided by the SCV Senior Center. Free meals available via pick-up are available as the kitchen is reaching 1,000 meals a day. The Senior Center also has 7 counselors available on their phone lines to give seniors someone to talk to and someone to help them get the resources they need. Kevin also gives a huge thank you to his entire kitchen staff and everyone else helping the Senior Center continue to serve the community and the seniors of the SCV.

Our next guest is Bradley Gross, Founder of Santa Clarita Grocery. Bradley talks about how there are no hoops to jump through if someone is food insecure, and that Santa Clarita Grocery serves anyone who talks through their door. Entirely volunteer run and operated, their grocery store exists entirely to help and serve the Santa Clarita Valley. received donationts from all over the valley to help redistribute unused food. compliant with Covid-19 regulations. groceries are taken directly to their car. 10 minute trip for a week’s worth of groceries.
