Dr. Mort Rizvi, the medical director of the new Henry Mayo Newhall Center for Hand and Reconstructive Surgery, joins Aaron over the phone to discuss the newest addition to Santa Clarita’s community hospital and trauma center.
Dr. Rizvi is a board-certified hand, craniofacial, plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgeon. He completed undergraduate school and medical school in Baltimore County at the University of Maryland.
After medical school, Dr. Rizvi completed general surgery residency in 2003 at York Hospital at the University of Maryland Medical Center. He then went to Methodist Hospital of Houston to complete a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery in 2006.
Dr. Rizvi furthered his training with fellowship training in hand and microsurgery at Los Angeles County-University of Southern California. Most recently, he completed craniofacial and pediatric plastic surgery fellowship training at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles in 2010.
