On today’s show, your host Matt Watson talks with Cameron Smyth, former Mayor of Santa Clarita.  He served as Mayor five different times and recently ended his time as Mayor.  They reminisce about Smyth’s time in office and his accomplishments including forming a committee assembly of the local government committee, serving as the only Republican in 2010.

In the second half of the show, Matt talks with Kate Wolfe, director of the online school through SCVi and iLead.  They talk about the benefits of schooling online, including flexibility for extra-curriculars and developing independence in your learner.  SCVi and iLead is a network of free, public charter schools with campuses in Lancaster, Agua Dulce and Castaic including the online program and home study program.
