Nicole is also a leader in the service and advocacy projects that Zonta of Santa Clarita is affiliated with. Founded in 1974, Zonta Club of Santa Clarita Valley is a dynamic organization of professional women working together to advance the status of women and girls in the Santa Clarita Valley and around the world. The Zonta Club of Santa Clarita Valley is a proud member of Zonta International, an organization with more than 29,000 members belonging to more than 1,200 Zonta clubs in 61 countries and geographical areas. Zonta International has consultative status with the United Nations and is the means by which we participate in service projects around the world.

Matt then welcomes Omar Torres, Vice President of Instruction at College of the Canyons, to discuss College of the Canyons and what differences they undertook during the pandemic and now that students are back in the classrooms.

Three years ago COC was forced to shift to virtually completely online, Torres said. But now in the upcoming fall semester we expect to have 60% if not more in person classes.

Matt then welcomes school director of ILEAD Agua Dulce Lisa Latimer to the show to talk about the formation of ILEAD Agua Dulce and what they offer their learners that differs from traditional schools.

Lastly, Big T has his five minutes of fame as he hosts trivia and actually adds a little twist for today’s trivia for “Frogger” and Producer Andrew!
