Proposition 60 – originated in LA County when someone 55+ wants to sell the house to downsize they were able to keep the tax base what they originally had.

Proposition 90 – now it extends to other counties “It helps people — we get to a point in our lives where the kids are gone and we want to move from a bigger house to smaller house, this will help people.” – Sam Silver

“The worst thing I think we can see is a veteran [or senior] not being able to pay their property tax and then getting evicted.” – Dr. Gene Dorio

“These are some options that maybe a lot of people don’t know about, and they are afraid to sell the house.” – Sam Silver on Prop 90 and the benefit it be for people

“They (seniors) have to call me! I have sources … and I can help them get in better position.” – Sam Silver

“The sad part it is it seems like sometimes it is a bit unfair in how they (gov’t) levy out taxes.” – Dr. Gene Dorio

“Us realtors are always going back to school to keep up on the latest things … we have to know what the programs are out there because the programs out there–the programs are always changing.” – Sam Silver

“We’re more than just realtors … there are a lot of things we do behind the scenes to protect our clients.” – Sam Silver
