Tips to have an extraordinary holiday

  • Let go of all expectations. Don’t be upset if it didn’t go the way you planned. Don’t get stuck in something going off your expectations. There are thousands of people that are having their plans blow up but still are having a great time, Alex said.
  • Allow people to be who they are, Do not get tagged. Allow people to be shy, funny, foolish and create a safe space for people to gather, Alex said. Do not limit others in others company. Do not allow people to ruin the experience, Jazmine said. If they are going to be dysfunctional, let them and do not let it affect YOURSELF.
  • Don’t take things personally. Ten times out of ten what other people say has no effect on you, Alex said. You choose to be affected by it or let it tag you. When it reality it has nothing to do with you. If someone is acting out or being loud, do not reflect that onto your self. Separate peoples dysfunctions from yourself.
  • Be present and in the moment. We like to believe we are present and in the moment, Alex said. However you have to be open to the possibility that you aren’t. Be present and do not be in your head making judgments.
  • Bring your own enjoyment
