Today on Real Estate and Other Stuff, it is Phil and Taylor giving everyone all the latest news in real estate and more. They start out discussing the latest gas bills increasing dramatically, nearly 2x or 3x as much as the usual.

Then, it’s time for a segment on the show called By the Numbers where Phil asks Taylor what she thinks are the latest numbers for houses on the market in Santa Clarita Valley and she has to guess the correct number. They share their thoughts on the changes in numbers as the weeks go by.

Phil then shares a quick update on how his house was sold and how he managed to get 3 offers on his house, all within 12 hours or so, but he already promised one buyer the price which caused him to miss out on good few thousand dollars.

Afterwards, they discuss about the latest Keller Williams Realty’s lawsuit against them regarding cold calls, unsolicited calls to even callers on the DO NOT CALL registry. The realty chose to, “settle the class action lawsuit” even though they claim to not be guilty. Taylor shares her view on the case of what possibly went doesn’t and why they decided to settle as opposed to going to trial.

Then, they share their thoughts on various topics such as Glen Kelman, CEO of Redfin, stating that the millennial are the Roommate Generation. Additionally, they talk about 72 sold commercial where Phil shares that it’s possibly worse than iBuyer.

RealPage is being investigated for driving up rents and engaging in anticompetitive practices. The rate setting software is artificially inflating the prices and saying it should be more than it’s supposed to in the rental market (Taylor).
