When I think about these distinctions, I think about giving, Alex said. When I give things away, presents, gifts, compliments, my love, do I expect something in return or something back?
We can often find ourselves disappointed when you give and give and give but yet receive nothing back, Alex said. However that is your come from and you give in your way and they might be giving but in another.
You can’t expect your kids to give unconditionally if you do not teach them and lead by example, Jazmine said. People will SAY they give unconditionally however they actually are not. Sometimes they will give a present or something and all they want is a Thank You however it is more than that.
