Parents Owning Up To Their Own Mistakes — Alex Urbina Radio Show — June 21, 2019

Host: Alex Urbina

Co-Host: Ellen Tunick

Topic: Parents Owning Up To Their Own Mistakes

Guest: Ray Maldonado

Santa Clarita life coach Alex Urbina was live on-air this week on his weekly radio show to talk about how parents can own up to their own mistakes, and help their children avoid those same pitfalls.

Urbina and his co-host Ellen Tunick welcomed guest, Ray Maldonado, to the show this week, and Maldonado opened up the show by saying his father was a great man, but discounted his abilities by focusing on the mistakes he made when he was younger.

Previous Episode: Learning To Take On Challenges — Alex Urbina Radio Show — June 07, 2019

Urbina said that it is important for parents to admit to the mistakes they made, then they should talk about how it negatively affected their lives, and most importantly, parents need to explain how they stopped doing those mistakes. Kids need to see that the behavior was there and then that it was corrected.

All three hosts agreed that parenthood contributes to many people wanting to better themselves. Urbina encourages everyone to not focus on one area or relationship in your life, but to focus on being a loving, caring, compassionate, authentic, and vulnerable person, saying that you will excel in all relationships when you are a well rounded human.
