Senior Hour – 3 Tips To Relieving Chronic Pain – October 26, 2022
On this episode of The Senior Hour, Dr. Thomas Polucki hosts the show to discuss chronic pain and his three tips to relieving those who suffer from it. Beginning as early as 15 years old, Dr. Polucki was taking multiple prescription medications on a daily basis. Unfortunately, not only did these pills only provide temporary relief, they also came with side effects that often exacerbated his issues. Despite an opportunity to pursue his MD at John Hopkins, Dr. Polucki gravitated toward natural medicine thanks in large part to his own experience.
Rather than taking typical over the counter ibuprofen, Dr. Polucki recommends three tips to naturally remedy these issues: 1) Focus on the cause of the problem instead of simply treating the effects, 2) Make exercise, sleep, and your diet the key to a healthy lifestyle, and 3) Using high quality natural supplements that can both make you feel better and save you money.
“There is an option outside of gobbling handfuls of pills every day and still having symptoms,” Dr. Polucki said. “And often trading worse side effects for your current symptoms on a revolving door basis.”
