“I was 23, married, had my first child and had a pretty good job,” said Alex. “I thought I was already ahead of the curve.”
Alex explains how he attended a coaching workshop, saw the life changing process life coaching and was hooked.
When Ellen asks Alex what he needs to work on, he responds with a problem that many people have, putting other people’s wants and needs above his own.
When you grow as a person, and reach new levels, you may get a lot of push back from people around you. Ellen asks Alex if he has experienced that and how he deals with it.
“I got made fun of by a lot of my friends when I first started this journey because what I was doing was different,” said Alex.
He goes on to explain that when he started to control his responses to situations by being neutral first, thinking it through, and then reacting, he was accused of being emotionless or uninterested. Alex says that he was just learning to choose his own emotions and not overreact.
