On today’s episode of The Real Estate Fix with Rich Szerman, Rich opens up the show with the usual market snapshot of the week. Things haven’t changed that much with the 30 year fixed rate now being at 7.24%. Rich also covers some trends that have been going on with supply and demand as they relate to housing prices.

After the first break, Rich welcomes Michelle Stump, owner of Buster’s Barn to give her story on how Rich assisted her property in foreclosure defense. The two banter for a bit about the animals on the property and Michelle gives an anecdote on Merlin the Peacock. They then get into the story of how a bank named MMC didn’t honor a loan modification for the property, causing possible foreclosure. However, Rich was able to tell the bank that they qualified for the California Mortgage Relief Program and got Michelle in on it as well, essentially saving the barn and having it still prosper.

Lastly, Rich and Michelle wrap up the show by discussing how banks in general would benefit from increasing the knowledge of what programs they qualify for as well as how listeners can assist Busters Barn.
