Keeping Seniors Fed — June 3, 2020

On this episode of The Senior Hour with Dr. Gene Dorio and Barbara Cochran, Barbara and Dr. Dorio call in to the studio to do their show remotely while the Safer At Home orders remain in place.

Our first guest on the show is Bradley Gross, Founder and Operator of Santa Clarita Grocery. Bradley comes in to the show to talk about the services he has been providing for Santa Clarita. Bradley and his team have been working hard, long before the outbreak of Covid-19 to provide food for those who are food insecure. With Covid-19, Bradley and his team innovated how their business worked and created a drive-thru/pick-up style method that has quadrupled their output during this crisis. Bradley is involved all over the community, and is extremely happy he has been able to adapt his non-profit organization in a way that lets them continue to help the people in the valley. Bradley talks about how Santa Clarita Grocery was able to partner with the USDA to bring in all new, fresh dairy products that will go straight into the hands of people who need it. Bradley is really happy he was able to get this partnership done because it greatly increases the dairy portion of what Santa Clarita Grocery is able to provide to people.
