The Senior Hour – Palliative Care Specialty – March 29, 2023
On this week’s episode of the Senior Hour, Barbara Cochran and Dr. Thomas Polucki welcome special guest, Marwa Kilani, a palliative care specialist, to discuss her line of work. Marwa goes into detail about how palliative car stresses seeing the patient as who they are and enhancing their quality of life through various treatments.
After the break, all three go into topics such as essential oils, medical marijuana for senior care, and long-term health insurance. Marwa also elaborates on how tedious becoming a palliative care specialist is because of all the rigorous training the job requires.
Finally, the show is wrapped up with an announcement – Providence Holy Cross will be putting on their Stroke Prevention Fair in May in which they have several activities lined up.
