Segment 1 – Robotic Surgeries

Segment 2 – Hearing Aids

“If you are a senior you should be getting your hearing checked regularly.” – Dr. Gene Dorio

Nola shares an incredible anecdote about a friend who has having trouble with her ear and in giving a base line test, found an acoustic tumor. Nola quickly got her to the hospital and it was found to be benign, like Nola says most acoustic tumors are.

Biggest changes in hearing technology: more natural sound of speech from hearing aids that makes speach clearer in the midst of background nosie.

“The background noise doesn’t go away … but now, with the new technology you can actually understand speach in noise.” – Nola Aronson

“It’s not going to reduce the noise, it’s going to enhance the speech.” – Nola Aronson
