One Patient Hospitalized After Crash Knocks Down Light Pole Into Roadway

One patient was hospitalized Friday after a crash brought a light standard down on Langside Drive.

Reports were received of a traffic collision involving a pole around 4:35 p.m. on Langside Drive in Canyon Country, according to Austin Bennett with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

“We arrived on scene at 4:47 (p.m.),” Bennett said. “And we transported one patient at 4:51 p.m.”

The pole, said to be a light standard, is blocking lanes on Langside Avenue near Soledad Canyon Road, according to officials on scene.

Eastbound traffic on Soledad Canyon Road is said to be backed up as far as Ruether Avenue, with one lane blocked, according to officials on scene.

The condition of the hospitalized individual was unknown as of early Friday evening.
