A SigAlert has been issued that the number three and four lanes of the 5 Freeway have been shut down just north of Templin Highway.
The vehicle fire, located in the number four lane on the northbound side of the 5 Freeway, is described only as a Honda, according to California Highway Patrol officials.
“We do not know the exact vehicle, possibly a Honda,” said Stephan Brandt, with the California Highway Patrol. “A SigAlert has been issued for the three and four lanes for an unknown duration.”
Reports were received of a vehicle fire at approximately 5:19 p.m. The vehicle involved in the fire was handled by two fire engines, as the fire had not spread to brush, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department officials.
