20 Hart District Staff Members Named Classified Employees Of The Year 

The William S. Hart Union High School District governing board recognized 20 staff members as the Classified Employees of the Year on Wednesday night, officials said. 

The employees, which include custodians, assistants, health technicians, office managers and more, represent every school in the district, as well as the district office. 

The Hart District Classified Employees of the Year included: 

  • Tiffany Walusko, Attendance Technician, Academy of the Canyons
  • Miguel Diaz, IT Specialist, Administrative Center
  • Claudia Lopez, Health Services Technician, Arroyo Seco Junior High School
  • Ronald Martellino, Campus Supervisor, Bowman High School
  • Cecilia Calabrano, Attendance Technician, Canyon High School
  • Marielou Garcia, Accounting Technician I, Career Visions Center
  • Kari Pinto, School Office Manager, Castaic High School
  • Kenia Sandoval, Instructional Assistant/Office Assistant I, Golden Oak Adult School
  • Theresa Jacobs, Instructional Assistant, Golden Valley High School
  • Tim Williams, Custodian, Hart High School
  • Eduardo Figueroa, Instructional Assistant, La Mesa Junior High School
  • Cindy Kolb, Attendance Technician, Placerita Junior High School
  • Ivonne Contreras, Instructional Assistant, Rancho Pico Junior High School
  • Rosa Garcia, Instructional Assistant, Rio Norte Junior High School
  • Susan Warne, Student Body Account Technician, Saugus High School
  • Devin Barrett, Instructional Assistant, Sequoia School

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
