A brush fire has been extinguished after breaking out in Canyon Country near railroad tracks Saturday afternoon.
At around 2:31 p.m. Saturday, firefighters received reports of a brush fire at Whites Canyon Road and Soledad Canyon Road.
As of 2:50 p.m. the fire has been knocked down at about half an acre in size, according to L.A. County Fire Department spokesperson Melanie Flores.
Railroad tracks between the Via Princessa and Santa Clarita stations have been closed due to firefighter activity near the tracks, according to a tweet from MetrolinkAV.
