On Thursday a brush fire in Canyon Country was quickly extinguished by firefighters. 

At around 4:49 p.m. first responders received reports of a brush fire on the 25600 block of Mountain Pass Road in Canyon Country, according to Ed Pickett, a dispatch supervisor with the Los Angeles County Fire Department. 

“It was a 10 by 10 spot behind the residence,” said Pickett. “One engine handled.” 

The fire has been extinguished but responders remained on scene as of 5:16 p.m. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
