Carousel Ranch Raises $57,000 At Charity Tournament

At its 14th annual charity shooting tournament, Carousel Ranch raised $57,000 for its various programs for special needs children and therapy services.

The event was a collaboration between Moore N’ Moore Sporting Clays, Sharpe Interior Systems and Carousel Ranch. Proceeds go towards supporting the equestrian therapy services the ranch offers, as well the Moore N Moore owners whose son Elliot attends weekly lessons.

The event was highly anticipated and completely sold out, with 24 teams and 12o players. The game is similar to a gold tournament, but instead of golf clubs players showcase their skill with a shotgun.

Teams move from station to station shooting clay targets, competing for awards and prizes.

The entire event raised over $57,000 for the ranch and its programs Equestrian Therapy and Ready to Work.

“The same teams come back year after year and we appreciate their ongoing support,” stated Carousel Ranch officials. “It’s one of our favorite events. Everyone – participants, volunteers and staff – had a great time.”

About Carl Goldman

Carl Goldman, along with his wife, Jeri repurchased KHTS AM-1220, Santa Clarita’s hometown station on October 24, 2003. They owned it from 1990-1998, and then sold it to Clear Channel Communication in 1998, buying it back from Clear Channel in 2003. Since then, they have rebuilt KHTS as a critical voice of the Valley. In 2015 the radio station moved to its new headquarters on Main Street in Old Town Newhall, in the original Newhall Hardware building. In 2018 an FM was added, 98.1, with its signal being simulcast with AM-1220. In January 2020, Carl and Jeri cruised on the Diamond Princess. Carl was one of the first Americans to come down with Covid-19. Months earlier he was impacted by Guillain Barre Syndrome as a result of a Shingles vaccine in September 2019. He is still in recovery from the vaccine.
