Concentrated Solar Power: An Eco Friendly Option In Renewable Energy

Concentrated solar power are systems that generate solar power by using mirrors or lenses to concentrate a large area of sunlight, or solar thermal energy, onto a small area. Electricity is generated when the concentrated light is converted to heat, which drives a heat engine connected to a electrical power generator or powers a thermochemical reaction.

Concentrated solar power plants have been actively working in the United States for many years, and more are opening for more renewable energy sources.

Because concentrated solar power technologies collect solar energy and convert it to thermal energy that can be stored before powering a generator, they can be used either as a flexible provider of electricity, such as a natural gas peaker plant. Or as a baseload source of electricity similar to a traditional nuclear or coal plant. Meaning that the energy that is stored, can be used at a later time, similar to other avenues, and not have to disuse that renewable energy that has been collected and stored.

Using thousands of mirrors to reflect and concentrate on a smaller focused point is still using the solar energy from the sun to make sure that renewable energy is still being used to eliminate the energy supplied by local power grids. This is generating electricity that is reflecting from a receiver in those field of mirrors and fluid is absorb in this tower and this is used for safe gathering of renewable energy, and the storage of this energy as well.

This 100% renewable energy has zero harmful emissions or waste. These concentrated solar power plants provide on demand reliable electricity from a renewable source, the sun. This is a much friendlier option to help combat the ever-growing climate change issues that are now being addressed as a threat to the planet. Eco friendly is a popular topic that needs to be utilized more and more these days.
