Deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station are asking the public to help to identify a pair of theft suspects in a string of stolen credit card crimes.
On Friday,Oct.7, 2022 the pictured suspect used a stolen credit card at numerous locations, according to Deputy Natalie Arriaga with the SCV Sheriff’s Station.
“Detectives Are Continuing to monitor the investigation, and believe the suspects are also responsible for “distracted thefts,” said Arriaga.
The attempt to identify comes as an effort by the station to make the community more aware of “distracted thefts.”
The thieves these types of crimes often come in pairs, according to the station. They primarily target elderly citizens and distract them by engaging them in conversation in order to make the swipe.
These types of crimes often occur at retail shopping centers.
