Detectives Seek Suspect Wanted For Theft Of $5,000 In Apple Products In Stevenson Ranch

Detectives are still actively investigating a grand theft from a Stevenson Ranch AT&T store, where a suspect stole approximately $5,000 worth of Apple products, officials said.

Around 1:40 p.m. Thursday, deputies received a report of a grand theft at the AT&T store on Pico Canyon Road, said Sgt. Dan Peacock with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“Three iPhones and three iPads were stolen,” said Sgt. Brian Shreves with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station’s Detective Bureau.

The value of the six stolen Apple products is estimated to be around $5,000, Shreves said.

Any time something valued over $950 is stolen, it is considered grand theft, according to officials.

Detectives investigating the case are combing through surveillance footage to get an accurate description of the suspect, according to officials.

“We obtained surveillance and are going through it to ID the suspect who took the (products),” Shreves said.

The suspect was initially described as a black male, in his early 20s, 5 feet 9 inches and wearing a jumpsuit, according to Sheriff’s officials.

As of the publication of this article, the suspect or any of the stolen merchandise has not been located, according to officials.

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
