Jared Snyder, 48, pleaded guilty to stealing from the baseball program he ran until 2014, officials said. His sentencing was first postponed in Nov. 2016 while he completed community service hours and worked to pay back more than $14,000 in restitution.

Snyder’s case was reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor after he paid $14,129 and completed 460 hours of community service. He was also ordered to pay $190 in court fees and fines.

During the 10-month investigation, evidence was gathered that showed Snyder was submitting fraudulent reimbursement forms to the Valencia High School ASB, officials stated.

Snyder was placed on leave in March 2014, and later replaced by Michael Killinger, who is currently the head coach.

Snyder coached the program from 1998 to 2014. Killinger, a former assistant of Snyder’s, was hired as head baseball coach in May 2014 to replace him.
