Gascón Announces National Search For Director Of Victim Services

Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced Tuesday a national search for an expert in the field of victim services and trauma-informed care to lead the office’s Bureau of Victim Services.

“This new director will bring trauma-informed care to crime victims throughout Los Angeles County as they embark on the journey to becoming survivors,” Gascón said. “My goal is to provide crime victims with clinical services that will help them through the healing process.”

The director is expected to be responsible for leading, planning, organizing and evaluating the operations of the Bureau of Victim Services, according to officials.

This leader expected to implement innovative, groundbreaking programs to further evolve and grow victim services in the District Attorney’s Office, according to officials.

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors authorized the new position on Sept. 15.

“I want to thank the Board of Supervisors for authorizing this crucial position and for strengthening victim services for all residents of Los Angeles County by increasing the number of victim services representatives in my office,” Gascón said.

Tiffiny Blacknell, Special Advisor to the District Attorney, is expected to serve as interim director of the Bureau of Victim Services until the new director is selected.

  1. Hey scumbag, your removal would be a great start in helping victims heal.

  2. Hi, I’m from victim services. It’s your fault!

  3. He doesn’t care about victims. Thank you brainiacs who voted for this guy. You get what you vote for…

  4. May God help the victims as Gascon will appoint Tiffany Blacknell as interim director of the Bureau of Victim Services until the new director is selected. She was on the other side defending criminals. What an injustice!

  5. In other news, Gas-con has launched an intergalactic search for his credibility, and future as a district attorney. Uranus appears to be his initial focus.

  6. I hope he’s recalled before he causes anymore problems for victims !
