Hart District Looking For Measure SA Oversight Committee Members

The William S. Hart Union High School has announced that it is looking for two new members to serve on the Measure SA Citizens’ Oversight Committee.

Measure SA is a $300 million general obligation bond passed by voters in Santa Clarita 13 years ago. The measure works to fund construction projects such as the new Castaic High School, Performing Arts Centers at Canyon and Saugus High Schools, and improvement projects at other high schools and junior highs.

The committee is looking for one member in the “Taxpayer Organization” category who would need to be active in a “bona fide taxpayer association.”

The second member would be within the “Hart Parent Organization,” which would require the enrollment of a child in a Hart District school.

Members are expected to serve two-year terms, with a maximum of three consecutive terms. Employees, contractors, vendors, and consultants of the Hart School District are not eligible to be on the committee.

All completed applications must be sent to Lisa Arnone (larnone@hartdistrict.org) by Friday, Feb. 19, 2021, at 3 p.m.
