Investigation Finds No Credible Threat Towards Arroyo Seco Junior High

On Sunday, a message to parents was sent from Arroyo Seco Junior High confirming that no credible threat has been found in relation to a suspicious social media posting last week.

Principal Andy Keene stated in the email that a student was taken into custody and that law enforcement have determined that “there never was a genuine threat to the safety of our campus.”

On Friday, the school sent an email to parents and staff addressing a “potential specific threat” aimed at Arroyo Seco, stating that the school was working with law enforcement to assess the situation.

The school remained open on Friday and is set to remain open again on Monday, with the added presence of law enforcement to “ensure the safety of our students, staff and campus,” according to Sunday’s email.

As for the student who was arrested, the email states that “there are consequences that arise from the choice to make a false threat of violence and strike fear into our community” and that law enforcement and the school will be “enforcing appropriate discipline.”

The school threat comes days after the school shooting at Oxford High School in Michigan, which killed four students and injured several others. Law enforcement officials across the nation have acknowledged that school threats often increase in the days following a school shooting.

The school urges parents to speak with their children about the seriousness of making any kind of comment that could cause concern for the safety of others. This includes joking about these topics and/or posting inappropriate content on social media platforms.

“If you see or hear anything that makes you uncomfortable, we encourage you to report the information as soon as possible to school and law enforcement officials,” said Keene in the email. “We act on every report as part of our continued commitment to ensure the safety and well-being of our students.”

To report any suspicious activity or possible threat, dial the Arroyo Seco Junior High School Student Care Line at (765) 831 – 2754.

  1. Horrible, can anyone imagine being told that they’re a White violent loser & Blacks can’t make it on their own with the wonderful free taxpayer schools?! To blame these innocent children can make many people lose hope & lash out with violence, looting, burning, raping, killing, etc.! They should all be reinforced positives that they can All be anything they choose! Being beaten down with Racist Prejudice with CRT/CCP brainwashing can make people go berserk!

  2. The principal of Arroyo Seco Jr High is Andy Keyne, not Keene.

  3. The headline should read “No Credible Threat” not “ No Creditable Threat”
