A juvenile suffered stab wounds after being in a reported altercation with other juveniles in Newhall on Tuesday evening. 

At around 5 p.m. deputies received a call for service where deputies found out that a group of juveniles had been involved in a fight at Valle Del Oro in Newhall, according to ​​ Lt. Richard O’Neal. 

“The vehicle connected to the fight fled the scene,” said O’Neal. 

Deputies found the vehicle on Carl Boyer Drive and Centre Pointe Parkway at around 5:17 p.m, where according to O’Neal, the juvenile stab victim was found inside. 

“The victim had suffered surface stab wounds to the torso and hands,” said O’Neal. “He was treated on scene by first responders.”

According to O’Neal, the juvenile took himself to the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. 

One other juvenile was detained after being identified as being related to the stabbing.
