A local family advocate, Denise Lite, has announced her campaign for a seat at the Santa Clarita City Council.
“I believe the people of Santa Clarita deserve honest and effective representation in these complex times.” said Lite in a statement. “I will represent Santa Clarita residents with the same strong leadership, advocacy and integrity I bring to my work as a family legal advocate and philanthropic board member.”
Lite works professionally as an Attorney and Family Legal Advocate at her family-owned legal practice and also serves as chairwoman of Soropitimst International of Valencia.
“My experience as a mediator has made me an excellent listener who works toward equitable solutions. I will apply these same skills while serving on the City Council,” said Lite.
Soroptimist International is a non-profit organization geared towards supporting women and girls in the community, and Lite has served as a large part of the fundraising event “Bras for a Cause,” introducing signature features of the event such as live models and basket auction.
“As a young girl, I lost my mother to breast cancer. That is why I choose today, the start of Breast Cancer Awareness month, to announce my candidacy in her memory,” said Lite.
Motivation of the start of her campaign came from witnessing the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, with business shutting down and the community struggling.
“I could not remain on the sidelines,” said Lite.
Lite is married to her husband, John Lite and is stepmother to two boys.

I went to her website and it’s full of nothing but bland platitudes so it’s hard to get a read on this candidate. I left her website knowing absolutely nothing more about her than I did from this article. However, she did blather a bit about homelessness and “infrastructure” so I smell a liberal Democrat. Her self-applied titles of “philanthropist” and “family advocate” also set off my BS detector. This woman seems to be a “lite” version of Christy Smith and Katie Hill, if you’ll pardon the pun.

This is probably her under a different name, the office address matches. If this is her, according to the link she’s democrat, that’s a no vote from me.
